Falkirk Fury’s under-16 cadet men’s team could lift the Scottish Division One League title this weekend if they win their match against Glasgow Rens after a topsy-turvy couple of weeks has handed them a chance to life the trophy on their own terms.

The Sony Centre sponsored team face the southsiders this Sunday in a home tie at Grangemouth sports centre with a 3.45pm tip. Spectators are welcome.

The Falkirk side were thrown a title lifeline after Rens themselves recently defeated West Lothian Wolves, who looked certain to take the Championship up until that point.

However, with both Rens and West Lothian Wolves now on two losses and Stirling Knights and Fury on one loss, the win would keep the cadets on the top of the table thanks to their head-to-head record over the Knights in what would be a dramatic final day turnaround.

This outing will be no pushover for Fury as the Rens side have a number of talented players and the game is sure to provide some excellent entertainment.

Fury defeated Rens earlier in the season and the home court advantage and home fans will be a boost for the Falkirk side.

Scotland Internationals Adama Hainey, Andrew Henderson and Gavin Black will be key players in head coach Ewan Carlow's talented side.

Meanwhile. Fury's cadette women are scheduled to play Caledonia Gladiators on the road with Fury’s junior men also playing the Rens at Grangemouth – with that one taking place just before the big title clash.
