Mixed league fortunes for Rose, Bo'ness

THERE were mixed fortunes for Linlithgow Rose and Bo'ness United in the East Region Super League.

The Rose saw off Camelon by the odd goal in five at Prestonfield.

But high-flying Bo'ness were put to the sword by visitors Kelty at Newtown Park - with former BU's player Ross Morrison netting the winner in Kelty's 2-1 victory.

Despite that, Bo'ness remain at the top of the league table on 26 points from 11 games, four clear of second-placed Newtongrange who have played one game more. Linlithgow sit in third place with 14 points from 10 games.

Both teams are away on Emirates Scottish Junior Cup duty on Saturday, with Bathgate hosting Bo'ness and Whitletts Victoria entertaining Linlithgow. The ties have a 2.15pm kick-off.
