Bo'ness on wrong end of results
IT was West versus East as Super League Champions Beith Juniors hosted the East champions.
Beith 4
Bradley 3, 73, McGarvey 28, Fraser 36
Bo'ness United 1
Fleming 45 (pen)
Bo'ness had three new faces in the starting line up in the form of Kerr Newbigging, Ross Hamilton and David Love plus Andy Scott was on the bench after a season away from the club.
The BU's got in the first shot with a McFadyen effort tipped onto the bar but Beith went ahead in three minutes when Joe Bradley was in the right place to fire home.
Bo'ness took the game to their hosts with Chris McFadyen and Chris Donnelly having shots on target however Beith doubled their lead in 28 minutes, before going 3-0 up in 36 minutes.
Bo'ness pulled a goal back after John Sheridan tripped Nicky Walker in the box and Derek Fleming converted from the spot.
Bo'ness continued to enjoy a lot of possession but created little in the way of chances and Beith completed the scoring in 73 minutes with a great 25-yard drive by Joe Bradley. There were some good individual performances and some good football from United.
