A family business made plenty of noise when they opened up on Monday.

But Vikki and David Faulds had a good excuse as they’re all about people of all ages making music.

The couple have plenty to sing about as their Fun Music Factory opened in new premises in Burnbank Road, Falkirk this week.

They offer a wide variety of music lessons from birth upwards and it can be one-to-one or in groups – with all the proper precautions in place to follow current guidelines.

Vikki, 44, said: “When my daughter Willow was born last year we had just started going along to a couple of baby classes when lockdown happened. Everything stopped and it was very disappointing.

"My husband David has a music background and we thought that it would be good to start our own classes when the restrictions lifted.

"These classes are as much for the mums as the babies and everyone really missed being able to attend them so we are hoping for lots who will want to come along.”

The couple, who also have son Jack, 9, are delighted with their new facilities where they offer baby music and movement classes, Rocks Kools for four to seven-year-old, and musical and drama classes for three to six-year-olds.

They also have Rhythm Tree for youngsters with special needs in small group or one-to-one settings.

For all ages they offer ukelele classes and piano, woodwind, guitar and drum tuition.

Originally from Edinburgh, Vikki was a make-up artist working in London when she met David, 52, when they were both working in West End’s theatre world.

They came to live in Falkirk about 11 years ago and David was initially a teacher before ill health forced him to give up.

He is now working as the head of the Fun Music Factory as the couple look to build their business.

Vikki added: “It’s very exciting to get these premises and be able to have such a great base for our classes. We’re looking forward of welcoming everyone.”
