UFO spotted at Hallowe'en
EDINBURGH Airport and the RAF have been asked to investigate after a UFO was spotted over Winchburgh - on Hallowe'en!
The reported UFO is listed on the UK UFO sightings website, where people from around the country report unusual sights in the sky.
There's speculation that the Winchburgh sighting could in fact be a drone – or man-made unmanned aircraft – out of Edinburgh Airport.
A local man spotted two incidents within an hour on Saturday night.
The first, he tells website members, was of a helicopter flying much lower than normal, travelling from west to east. But within an hour, he says, he spotted something else: ''An object, flying VERY low, came into view about three houses to my right.
''I could not make out the full body, but using red nav. lights it seemed to be cylindrical and as wide as an ordinary helicopter.
''This object came from the south east flying in the general direction of north west towards Blackness and the Forth.
''Three things I noted: It was totally silent, it had two large red navigation lights on the body, with one on top and the other on the bottom but placed diagonally to each other and it was moving very slowly, in fact, almost drifting.''
The man tells website readers that a helicopter could explain it, but not the lack of noise or vibration, and that it was only just above the height of a double storey rooftop.
The man has e-mailed both the RAF and Edinburgh Airport to see if they can shed any light on the sighting.
