Two Bo'ness schools are praised in HMI reports

KINNEIL AND Grange Primary Schools in Bo'ness have been praised in follow-up reports to their formal inspections carried out two years ago.

Falkirk Council's education director Julia Swan said both schools had demonstrated a clear commitment to addressing the recommendations made at the time.

In a report to the education committee, she said Kinneil had made good progress in further developing approaches to active learning across the school.

It was also improving pupils' achievements in English language, particularly in reading.

At Grange Primary, good advances had been made in meeting the action points. Teachers, pupils and parents were involved in the rigorous monitoring and tracking of pupils' performance.

For more on the reports, see the Journal and Gazette out on Friday September 3.
