CF fund boosted for Linlithgow campaigner
LOCAL Cystic Fibrosis sufferer Caroline Geddes has been raising funds for a clinical trial looking into a cure for the condition.
Caroline (22) featured in the Journal and Gazette last October after the Cystic Fibrosis Trust launched a £6m fundraising drive for a trial into gene therapy planned for the spring, that would test 100 sufferers for over a year. If it goes ahead, it will be the first such gene therapy trial in the world.
Caroline who lives at Preston Road, Linlithgow, works weekends with Policy Services Limited in Grangemouth and the company directors Maggie and David Ness held a Fireworks Party to raise funds for the trust making £1200 (see picture).
The directors also presented her with a cheque for £1036 after a challenge was set to them for processing mail.
