Fatal house fire in Bo'ness

A 63-year old man has died following a fire in Commissioner Street in Bo'ness last night.

The fire broke out on Tuesday evening and police and fire services attended around 10.45pm.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Bo’ness responded along with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to an address in Commissioner Street at around 10.45 p.m. on Tuesday 23rd February following reports of a fire having broken out.

“As a result of this incident a 63-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A joint investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire is ongoing and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
