Take a trip down memory lane in Bo'ness, South Queensferry and Linlithgow
THIS group of young ladies worked at the former Bo'ness Pottery on Bridgeness Road, where Christie Timber Services now stands, in the 1940s.
The photo was handed in to us by Jan Fowler, ne Sneddon and then living in the town's Castleloan.
As a teen she worked as a mould runner and can be seen kneeling in the centre of the front row. All of her colleagues came from Bo'ness.

A Linlithgow action group has been formed to fight against rate rises. Angry ratepayers fear that the council is using rates as an ''open-ended cheque" and are not keeping to budget.
Councillors Clark and Bain are opposing plans for parking meters at the Vennel in Linlithgow. The meters are being introduced to stop council workers and other commuters blocking the spaces all day long, but they fear that local people and tourists will be worse off.
Blackness is to be promoted as a main picnic and day-out spot on the River Forth. Two councils agreed to improve facilities at the popular seaside village, though it is feared that parking may prove costly.
Linlithgow United Churches Junior Youth Club held its first meeting last Wednesday in the old Academy on Blackness Road. The group offers a range of activities to youngsters aged 15 or under.
The Co-op was granted a licence to serve drink in its Bo'ness coffee house.
At Linlithgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, a 27-year-old Bo'ness man with 14 previous convictions pleaded guilty to stealing 120 lbs of scrap lead between June 3 and July 29 this year.
The 1st Kirkliston Company BB Football Team won the West Lothian Boy's Brigade Battalion Junior Cup at Uphall last Saturday.
A meeting was held in West Port Hotel on Monday where Linlithgow and Bo'ness Ladies Circle handed over a 60 cheque to Dr D.C Simpson of the Princess Margaret Rose Thalidomide Unit. The ladies raised the money by running a cheese and wine party.
Linlithgow Rose cruised to a comfortable 5-1 win at Prestonfield on Saturday against West Calder United. Bobby Murray claimed four of the goals, two from the spot.

A jury returned a formal verdict on the death of a Bo'ness man killed as he dismantled a grenade at a shipbreaker's in Bridgeness. A fatal accident inquiry decided that there had been neglect at an armaments depot where the ammunition came from, which contributed to the death. The grenade was in a consignment which had been certified as being inert and free from live explosives.
Plans to mine under the proposed site of the new Bo'ness Academy would imperil the safety of the school and the private houses and housing schemes in its vicinity, councillors heard this week.
Readers were urged to put their money into their future, as part of National Savings week. They were told: ''Our salvation depends on our savings. By saving, every one of us can help our country and ourselves.''
G.E.M Male Voice Quartet from Grangemouth sang in Craigmailen Church, Bo'ness, on Sunday.
A harvest thanksgiving service was held in Kingscavil Church in Bridgend last Sunday. The church was decorated with flowers and gifts, and the service was conducted by the Rev. T. Nicholson.
On Tuesday, a special meeting was held in the Masonic Hall, South Queensferry, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Lodge St Margaret.
Bo'ness United beat Thorntree United 3-0 in the second round of the Scottish Cup. The match took place on Saturday at Newtown Park.
nLast Saturday, West Lothian County Ladies hockey team defeated Atholl Crescent, four goals to three. Goals were scored by M. Carson (2), E. Beattie and J. Park.
