Take a trip down memory lane in Bo'ness, Linlithgow and South Queensferry

THIS week's peep at the past is from our own files and depicts the 1954 Linlithgow Rose football team and back-room staff.

This team was the first to win any trophies for the club and as you can imagine caused much celebration throughout Linlithgow after the team were presented with silverware.

Mr Sutherland was the secretary at the time and was reportedly extremely proud of the fact that he had been part of the Linlithgow Rose victory – his family originally handed in this photo to us many years ago.

If you have a picture for the Peep at the Past column, drop it in to 114 High Street, Linlithgow EH49 7AQ or email editorial@journalandgazette.co.uk
