Sangschule singers in 1995

THERE'S many a well kent face amongst these singers in Linlithgow - but a few unknowns too.

The picture was taken at the recording studio at Craig's Farm in Livingston on May 24, 1995, with members of the Linlithgow singing for fun group, which began in October 1984. The group became Sangschule (which still meets weekly in Linlithgow Academy) in 1998.

The members had just recorded a tape, with their tutor Christine Kydd on the extreme right of the photo.

Susan Thores (centre front) was the West Lothian arts officer who got the group going and was a member for many years. Two others are still Sangschule members, but there are a few who cannot be identified.

If you can put names to the faces, contact The Journal and Gazette, 114 High Street, LInlithgow EH49 7AQ.
